The Antero Room
For family vacations in Boulder, Colorado, reserve child-friendly lodging in our Antero Room. This room is located on the first floor of the main house at Briar Rose Bed and Breakfast.
Enjoy the warm delight of a wood-burning fireplace in the private sitting area of this large room. (Please note that the City of Boulder prohibits the use of wood-burning fireplaces on high-pollution days. These restrictions are outside our control.) In an intimate separate alcove, hand-painted flowers adorn the wall above the headboard of a high-end Queen bed by local Verlo Mattress Company. The room is full of light, with two large skylights (with blinds) and large windows, and has gorgeous rustic-oak floors. The room has modest seasonal mountain views, and a peek into our back garden, which is shaded by a black walnut tree. An antique wooden vanity with exquisite detail serves well as a desk for working on your laptop, or perhaps writing a postcard home on our Briar Rose stationary. The private bath features a rain shower, beautiful tile floor, pedestal sink , full-length mirror, and a sun tunnel skylight. In the sitting area by the fireplace is a sofa that opens into a queen-size sleeper – this is not your average sofa-bed, it’s high-end and very comfortable! We are happy to make this up for you upon request. The room has a wonderful light and open feeling – it is named after Mount Antero, 14,276 ft / 4351.4 m high, located in the Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains.
