The Blanca Room
Located on the first floor of the main house at our Rockies bed & breakfast, the Blanca Room is a lovely retreat for a romantic honeymoon, vacation, or weekend getaway in Boulder, Colorado.
One of our largest rooms, Blanca has soft blue hues and Eastern light, making it very calming. Large windows look into our main garden where our beloved Tulip Poplar tree stands. This tree was transplanted from Virginia in the 1920’s by one of the original homeowners and has a ten-foot girth. The room features a wood-burning fireplace (Please note that the City of Boulder prohibits the use of wood-burning fireplaces on high-pollution days. These restrictions are outside our control). Other in-room appointments include a high-end queen bed by local Verlo Mattress Company, an antique wood dresser with elegant detail and a marble top, a large wood armoire, a writing desk, and a plush sofa which opens into a queen-size sleeper – this is not your average sofa-bed, it is high-end and very comfortable! The private bath features a rain shower, a beautiful tile floor, pedestal sink, and a sun tunnel skylight that lets in soft daylight until dusk (a great time to light the fire). The room has a gorgeous rustic-oak floor and two skylights (with blinds) that give the room a wonderful open feeling – Blanca is our most spacious room, and one of our most romantic. This room is named after 14,351 ft / 4,374 m Blanca Peak, the highest peak of the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains in southern Colorado.
