Innkeeper’s note on our response to the pandemic

Dear Guests,

The Briar Rose has been closed since March 24th to honor the need for social distancing during this coronavirus pandemic. Colorado’s “stay at home” order expired on May 8th , replaced by a “safer at home” policy.

We have decided to reopen on May 16th, with a slate of precautions in place to protect our staff and guests. We regret that these measures will not allow us to offer you our usual flowing hospitality. Social Distancing is still strongly recommended. In fact, we encourage you not to travel, if possible, but for those who must, we offer the Briar Rose as a safer option: our smallness will significantly reduce potential exposure compared to hotels.

To enhance staff and guest safety, we will perform abundant cleaning with solutions that will kill the virus, containing 75% alcohol or other approved antimicrobials. We will limit our occupancy to 50% for the time being. All guests and staff will be required to wear masks when in common areas; staff will always wear masks when interacting with guests or cooking. Our breakfasts will match our usual high quality but will be served in-room. The same is true of our renowned tea and treats. We regret the loss of mealtime and teatime companionship, but staff and guest safety are paramount.

Thank you for understanding.
Sincerely,
Gary
Owner
