The Windom Room
This room is located on the second floor of our Carriage House.
The room has a high-end queen bed by local Verlo Mattress Company. A drop-leaf table with plenty of light provides a peaceful spot to enjoy tea and cookies, or a productive space for the working traveler. Large windows on two sides are framed in a pallet of soft burgundy. There is a plush armchair in the room, next to which hangs an elegant antique Japanese scroll. The bath features a rain shower and pedestal sink. Located on the second floor of our carriage house, this room offers the feeling of privacy and respite. If you desire a great spot to hang out and relax outdoors, a large covered balcony (shared with the neighboring Shavano room) overlooks our main house, patio and gardens. The room is named after Windom Peak, 14,093 ft / 4,296 m high, part of a remote group of three fourteen-thousand-foot-tall peaks. It is the highest summit of the Needle Mountains Range of the Rocky Mountains.
